TGS - Eurasian Competition Finalist

We are proud to announce that the project "Construction of a solar power plant with financing by issuing Green Bonds", implemented by “TechnoGroupService” LLP, has earned an honorable second place in the "Low-Carbon Energy" category at the Eurasian Economic Commission's competition. The event was organized in collaboration with the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects." Our project was recognized as one of the best practices in sustainable energy for its contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and decreasing reliance on fossil fuels.

These results highlight the significance and relevance of our renewable energy solutions. The high level of professionalism demonstrated by our team, coupled with our commitment to environmentally responsible practices, helps us achieve both ecological and economic goals, while also enhancing the company's reputation on the international stage. The implementation of the 50 MW "Kun Bulagy" Solar Power Plant project, funded through the issuance of Green Bonds on the KASE stock exchange, amounting to up to $25 million USD, and featuring the export of advanced Kazakhstani equipment and materials, fully aligns with the address of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the nation on September 2, 2024.

Integration Processes in Central Asia

An important event for the process of integration among Central Asian countries was the investment forum held as part of the trade and economic mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Tajikistan, which took place from August 19 to 22, 2024, in Dushanbe. One of the key topics of the forum was the development of cooperation between the brotherly countries in the field of green energy, aimed at addressing the growing negative environmental and economic consequences of water and electricity shortages.

"TechnoGroupService" LLP, following its primary mission of developing the green economy in the region, actively participated in the Forum and B2B meetings. The Deputy Director of Business Development, Zhomart Nurkanov, along with partners in the field of clean silicon production, scientist Berik Rakhimbaev and geologist Makhambet Suleimenov, held a meeting with the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabir, during which they discussed the prospects of cooperation on "green" projects, including the construction of solar power plants (SPP), the establishment of photovoltaic module production, and the processing and production of pure silicon from high-quality quartz. The Minister emphasized the importance of localizing production in Tajikistan when developing renewable energy sources and supported the idea of advancing the proposed projects.

During a meeting with the management of the diversified company AVESTA Group, Zhomart Nurkanov proposed cooperation in the construction of solar power plants. At the conclusion of the business forum, "TechnoGroupService" LLP signed memorandums of cooperation on projects for the construction of solar power plants, the production of photovoltaic modules, and the production of pure silicon from quartz mined at a quartz deposit in the Sughd Region in northern Tajikistan.

The development of these projects will enable the Central Asian countries to ensure the strategic development of their own technologies in the field of solar energy, where the infrastructural and fiscal support from the Governments of both countries is crucial.

Meetup at KBTU: The Role of Technology and Sustainable Development

On August 16, a meetup was held at the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) dedicated to pressing issues of Sustainable Development and the role of technology in addressing them. The event was organized by the ESG Lab of the KBTU Project Management Office and CAICA (Climate Action Initiative Central Asia), both of which are actively working on supporting and developing environmentally sustainable projects and entrepreneurs in Central Asia.

The event was attended by experts in the field of ESG consulting and green entrepreneurship. Among the invited experts was Zhomart Mominbayev, a partner at "TechnoGroupService" LLP and Chairman of the Industry Committee of the School of Mines and Earth Sciences at KBTU. His presentation focused on discussing the current issues of goal-setting for commercial organizations to ensure Sustainable Development.

During the event, initiatives from ESG Lab and CAICA were presented, and opportunities for further participation in joint projects were discussed. The meetup became an important platform for exchanging opinions and experiences in the areas of Sustainable Development, workforce training, biodiversity conservation, and the development of green entrepreneurship.

Visit to ORDA GLASS Plant

On August 15, 2024, Zhomart Mominbayev, Partner at "TechnoGroupService" LLP, visited the ORDA GLASS sheet glass production plant in the Kyzylorda region. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the possibility of an annual purchase of up to 600,000 sheets of ultra-clear, anti-glare tempered glass, 3.2 mm thick, intended for use at the TGS-Solar photovoltaic module production plant, which is scheduled to launch at the end of this year.

ORDA GLASS confirmed its readiness to consider adapting its production processes to meet TGS's requirements. This would involve fine-tuning the production line and initiating the glass tempering process. The collaboration between TGS and ORDA GLASS opens up new opportunities for the development of local production and the increase of Kazakhstani content in TGS-Solar photovoltaic modules. It also highlights the companies' commitment to supporting the national economy and strengthening the local industry. TGS is further committed to developing partnerships and introducing innovations aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of domestic production.
