On December 23, 2024, the First Kazakhstan Energy Forum of Domestic Manufacturers, "KazEnergoOTP-2024," took place in Astana. The event was organized by the Union of Legal Entities "KazEPI" with the support of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken."

Zhomart Mominbayev, a member of the Public Council of JSC "NUH Baiterek," participated as a speaker, delivering a presentation on the topic "Reforms of Public Councils in the Interests of Domestic Manufacturers." In his speech, he also addressed measures needed to focus the holding’s efforts on enhancing in-country value.

As a result of the forum, an appeal was formulated and submitted to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan with proposals for supporting domestic manufacturers and developing the energy sector.

On December 11, 2024, a round table titled “Summing up the Year on Renewable Energy Development in Kazakhstan in 2024” was held in Astana, organized by the Renewable Energy Association “Qazaq Green.”

The forum brought together representatives of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, leaders of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC “KEGOC,” government agencies, companies, and leading experts in the renewable energy sector. They discussed the results and prospects for the development of renewable energy facilities.

The key topic of the round table was addressing issues in the balancing electricity market caused by the growth in renewable energy generation. In this regard, discussions highlighted current aspects of integrating renewable energy into Kazakhstan's Unified Electric Power System (UEPS), the development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and the regulatory framework for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) in Kazakhstan. Huawei presented technologies, technical requirements, and key challenges for developing BESS systems.

As part of the event, an award ceremony was held, where TechnoGroupService LLP’s Business Development Representative, Nurkanov Zh.Zh., received the industry award “Honored Professional in Renewable Energy.” This recognition symbolizes the company’s significant contribution to the development of green energy in Kazakhstan.

On December 5, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, met in Urumqi with Ma Xingrui, Secretary of the Communist Party of China for the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR). During the meeting, the participants discussed current issues of cooperation and prospects for intensifying collaboration.

XUAR is Kazakhstan's largest trading partner among all regions of China, accounting for almost half of the bilateral trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China. Last year, the volume of foreign trade with XUAR increased by 62%, reaching $20.3 billion. In the first nine months of 2024, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and XUAR grew by 22.46%, reaching $17.67 billion.

The delegation included the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TechnoGroupService LLP, Mominbayev Zh.B., who signed an agreement with the Chinese energy engineering corporation Sieyuan on cooperation in the production of industrial energy storage systems in Kazakhstan at the SEZ "PIT Alatau" in Almaty.
