On March 1, 2026, at the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business (NU GSB), an educational case of TechnoGroupService LLP (TGS) was presented to Executive MBA (EMBA) students, implemented in an AI format for use in the learning process. After reviewing the materials, 8 groups of the EMBA 2026 cohort presented their vision of TGS’s further development strategy based on the AI case, aiming to reduce risks and maximize revenues.
Based on TGS’s practical experience in decarbonization and solar generation asset management, the developed interactive AI system allows students to analyze strategic, investment, and managerial decisions in a dialogue mode. The digitalization of the TGS case was carried out in cooperation between Nazarbayev University and AVRIS Technologies Inc., under the leadership of Dean Josef Konings of NU GSB.
The AI agent models the company’s business environment and allows students to:
• analyze strategic development issues of renewable energy projects;
• assess investment and operational risks;
• evaluate company development scenarios and interact with AI agents;
• formulate managerial decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
The case is based on real TGS projects in renewable energy and digital solutions, including generation forecasting and asset management tools. The use of the AI agent enabled the transformation of the business case into an interactive teaching format, where students can test hypotheses, ask strategic questions, and receive structured responses within a defined model.
