On May 13, 2026, the Business Forum of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), dedicated to issues of economic integration, was held in Astana. The forum was organized by the NCE RK “Atameken” and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan within the framework of the chairmanship in the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI). The event brought together representatives of government bodies, international organizations, financial institutions, and the business community of the OTS countries.
A welcoming speech was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zh. M. Zhumangarin. The panel session “Launch of a Unified Production, Agricultural, Logistics and Trade Cooperation Platform as a Practical Mechanism for Attracting Investments” was moderated by K.A. Shaikh, President of the National Association of Cooperatives and Other Forms of Economic Community of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NACOFEC), who noted the importance of moving from declarative initiatives to practical mechanisms of cooperation and joint investment projects within the Turkic economic space.
Within the framework of the panel session, A.Zh. Mominbayeva, representative of TechnoGroupService LLP, delivered a presentation on the topic “The Trans Caspian Energy Corridor: From the Revival of the Aral Region Ecosystem to the Strategic Energy Security of Europe.” In her report, she emphasized the importance of developing the Trans Caspian energy route, supported by the Presidents of the three participating OTS countries, as an element of a sustainable energy architecture capable of linking the resources of Central Asia with the growing needs of the European energy market. Particular attention was paid to the need to combat desertification and restore the ecological infrastructure of the Aral region as a starting point for the formation of new regional ties.
