On October 9, 2026, the announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate took place in Oslo, Kingdom of Norway. The Nobel Peace Prize is one of the most prestigious international awards, presented for outstanding contributions to the promotion of peace and international cooperation.
The event was attended by Zhomart Mominbayev, a partner of the TGS-Energy Group of Companies, who arrived in Oslo to support the candidacy of Olzhas Suleimenov, a renowned Kazakhstani poet, writer, and public figure.
Olzhas Suleimenov is widely known for his many years of work in nuclear disarmament and environmental protection. In 1989, he founded the international anti-nuclear movement “Nevada–Semipalatinsk,” which played a significant role in the public campaign to end nuclear testing at the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site.
Zhomart Mominbayev believes that Kazakhstan needs its own world-class prize, worthy of standing alongside the Nobel Prize but focused on the future: a prize that transforms bold technological ideas into real factories, jobs, and new opportunities for the country's economy.
